OffGridBox is a company founded by Emiliano and Davide, two friends who wanted to have a significant social impact. With their experience, they established ingenious systems for water purification and solar energy access using containers and solar panels. Rwanda was chosen to establish their new African office because of the country's support for green technologies and innovation.
OffGridBox provides technological solutions to households and institutional buildings such as health clinics and schools. It can be installed in humanitarian environments such as refugee camps or post-disaster situations, and powers productive use. Tens of thousands of families in East Africa now have affordable access to purified water and solar energy thanks to OffGridBox in their community.
OffGridBox's mission is to make communities more resilient to climate change by offering affordable access to clean water and renewable energy. While 2 billion people lack access to clean water and 800 million people lack access to energy, OffGridBox is working to help communities become sustainable and resilient.
