INKOMOKO is a business consulting company that helps entrepreneurs develop their businesses by providing them with practical skills, resources, and networks. Unlike many other consulting firms, INKOMOKO also has its own investment fund to directly help its clients obtain capital. Services are available in several languages, including Amharic, Arabic, English, French, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Somali, and Swahili.

The name "Inkomoko" is a Kinyarwanda word that means "origin." By honoring its roots in Rwanda, INKOMOKO brings its lessons learned to new places where it works, while also celebrating the paths taken by its clients to rebuild their lives in new places, particularly forcibly displaced persons.

INKOMOKO works with micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Africa, including refugees. The company provides business advice, access to finance, and market linkages to help entrepreneurs create thriving communities. INKOMOKO began its work in Rwanda ten years ago and now has offices in Kenya and Ethiopia, working with over 10,000 entrepreneurs annually.

In the years ahead, INKOMOKO plans to expand to five additional countries in Africa, reaching over 500,000 clients and creating a positive impact on the livelihoods of more than 7 million people by 2030.
